KOF 2014

ROADTRIP! Sitting at work, looking at the clock and counting down the minutes. You know it’s time to take a roadtrip and where to go during July if you live in Cape Town? You have to drive down to the Garden Route for the annual Knysna Oyster Festival.

The Garden Route is a sanctuary in between fynbos, the ocean and the Knysna woods. This is a pretty peaceful spot to slow down and give your soul some rest.

What to do at KOF?

In my post about the PicknPay Knysna Oyster Festival 2013, I mentioned a few activities that you want to look at next time you are in Knysna. However this time around, our approach was to do “as little as possible.” KOF has a jam packed schedule including some of the major sporting events during the weekend and more social events on the weekend.

KOF Kick-off!

We started our weekend with a free concert with Zebra & Giraffe. The local guys rocked the stage and was warming up the crowd for acts to follow in slightly chilly weather.

I think it was time to do what we come to do in the first place… Eat oysters! 😀 There are so many spots listed, but there is only one spot to visit when in Knysna. That is Tapas Knysna the little eatery on Thesen Island.

 Goodbye Knysna, for now!

This year’s festival was a blast and I cannot wait for #KOF2015. Hope to see you there? Let me know if you attended KOF’14 and what your experience was?
